Electric Ebb (Ebon Electrics)

Background:

The principles of Electric Ebb have been studied and researched since at least 400 SD. The main concept behind the application of the Ebb to electrical energy is the manipulation of energy in the real world by the use of Flux. Electric Ebb is mainly a refinement of the Illumination and Blast schools of Ebb and is mainly studied by the more combat orientated Ebons and Brain Wasters.

2: Electro Shock 1 Causes a low level electrical field to be generated over the users skin and DeathSuit which can be used to cause damage in hand-to-hand attacks. User must make a successful unarmed combat attack, causes DMG-6, PEN-2, AD-1, Dur-1 round. 2 Flux Touch
3: ElectroFlux Blade 1 The Flux Capacitor emits a short 'blade' of electrical flux energy about the length of a short sword or long dagger which can be used to attack and damage others. DMG-4, PEN-6, AD-3, Dur-Conc in Mins, must make successful Blade 1-H attacks. 3 Flux 30cm
4: Lightning Blast 1 A refinement of the Blast and Illumination schools has brought about the creation of this ability. It 'fires' a blast of energy and light from the front of the Flux Capacitor at a target. The user must make an Aim roll as well as a formulation roll as with Blast. DMG-10, PEN-8, AD-4 4 Flux 15m
5: Force Field 1 This ability was first discovered by an Ebon by pure chance and is what really led to the development of Electric Ebb. This allows an Ebon to create a field of electrical energy around them which not only blocks out sound and smell from the rest of the world but also slows down kinetically charged projectiles. 6: Stun 2 The Stun ability is refined and now possesses the statistics of the Illumination ability Charge 2. The user must still make an Aim roll as well as a formulation roll as with Blast. Unarmoured targets roll PHYS-10 or stunned for 1 minute (20 rounds), armour is stunned for 2 minutes(40 rounds), no save, wearer is not affected by armour hits. 6 Flux 15m
7: Electro Shock 2 The Electro Shock ability grows and now causes more damage to a target. User must make a successful unarmed combat attack, causes DMG-9, PEN-4, AD-3, Dur-1 round. 7 Flux Touch
8: ElectroFlux Blade 2 With the progression of the Electrical Ebb knowledge, the ElectroFlux Blade now is more formidable. The 'blade' is now about the length of a normal sword. DMG-8, PEN-10, AD-6, Dur-Conc in Mins, must make successful Blade 1-H attacks. 8 Flux 60cm
9: Lightning Blast 2 The Lightning Blast ability has grown more deadly and has greater penetration for attacking better armed foes. Still requires a separate Aim roll to hit as well as the formulation roll. DMG-15, PEN-12, AD-6 9 Flux 20m
10: Power Control This is a passive ability that requires a formulation roll in only the most extreme situations. It allows the Ebon to manipulate any and all electrically powered objects in direct line of sight by switching on or off the flow of electricity in the desired object. This ability should be used with care in Sla owned areas as destruction of property will be met with extreme prejudice Line of Sight only. None, passive. Line of Sight
11: Stun 3 Stun 3 is now powerful enough to cause actual damage as well as stun the recipient of the ability as with the Illumination ability Charge 3. The Ebon must still make an Aim roll as well as a formulation roll as with Blast. DMG-5, taken by the first thing it hits. Unarmoured targets roll PHYS-15 or stunned for 1.5 minutes (30 rounds), armour is stunned for 3 minutes (60 rounds), no save, wearer rolls PHYS-10 or is stunned 30 seconds (10 rounds). 11 Flux 15m
12: Electro Shock 3 Electro Shock 3 has the potential to cause serious damage to unarmoured and lightly armoured targets, so much so that it can kill. The Ebon's skin will glow slightly after formulation of this ability. User must make a successful unarmed combat attack. - DMG-12, PEN-6, AD-5, Dur-1 round. 12 Flux Touch
13: ElectroFlux Blade 3 The energy 'blade' produced by this ability is now the size of a Long Sword or Pike and is highly damaging to anyone struck with it as well as being able to pierce most armour classes. DMG-12, PEN-14, AD-9, Dur-Conc in Mins, must make successful Blade 1-H attacks. 13 Flux 90cm
14: Lightning Blast 3 At this level of Electric Ebb, Lightning Blast now has more power than most Blast attacks up to rank 16 or 17. A successful aim roll is still required to hit as well as a formulation roll as in Blast. DMG-20, PEN-16, AD-8 14 Flux 25m
15: Force Field 2 In 525 SD a Necanthrope by the name of Charge, as well as being a combat operative was involved in research into Ebon Electrics. He was the first Ebon to pioneer the use of Force Field 2 which he says has saved his life more than once. This is a greater ability than Force Field 1 and has much more stopping power. It blocks out IR and UV as well as sound and smell and being a kinetic damper. All bullet attacks through the field are at PEN-10. (this includes the formulating Ebons attacks also) 15 Flux 1m
16: Stun 4 Stun 4 brings with it a greater level of physical damage than Stun 3 and can carry the damage through most armour classes to stun the wearer/pilot. Ebon must still make an Aim roll as well as a formulation roll as with Blast. DMG-20, PEN-14, target rolls PHYS-5 or is stunned for 10 rounds (use Hotline rules for armour hits, DMG is taken as AD if armour PV>=PEN). 16 Flux 20m
17: Electro Shock 4 The ultimate hand-to-hand attack available to any Ebon. Elector Shock 4 is visually stunning as well as being a serious threat to anyone on the receiving end as the Ebon's skin and DeathSuit will glow brightly when this ability is formulated. 18: ElectroFlux Blade 4 The largest of the ElectroFlux Blade abilities. The 'blade' of this ability is now so large it that the user must be trained in Blade 2-H use to use it effectively. There are very few, if any, armour classes that can stand up to an attack with this 'blade' and when used by a Necanthrope or in conjunction with a SlaughterSuit it makes the user is almost unstoppable DMG-16, PEN-18, AD-12, Dur-Conc in Mins, must make successful Blade 2-H attacks. 18 Flux 1.2m
19: Lightning Blast 4 Lightning at its best. This ability is near unstoppable by almost any armour except Necanthrope DeathSuits or highly charged SlaughterSuits. Users of this ability should be warned that bad aiming could cause serious damage to Sla property. A successful aim roll is still required to hit as well as a formulation roll as in Blast. 20: Shutdown This is a highly dangerous ability when in the wrong hands. A Necanthrope using this ability can cause Brain Death in any subject he or she wishes as long as they are touching them. They simply make all electrical activity in the targets brain cease to exist. It can also be used in the same manner as the Rank 10 ability to overload or burn out electrical systems, generators and the like. Flux Capacitor - Electric Ebb Amplifier

Much in the same way that the DeathSuit, SlaughterSuit and Aeon Flux are required for Ebon Guard, Ebon Defence and Ebon Acceleration, The Flux Capacitor is required for Ebon Electrics. These abilities can not be used without the Flux Capacitor as it has been developed to allow the Ebon to focus the power of Flux into electrical fields and the like. The Flux Capacitor is a cylindrical object about 30 centimeters in length and about 6 in diameter. It is made of Science Friction material and has a small Flux storage capacity.
