Rank 1. Blind
The Caster ‘removes’ the light from his opponent’s eyes, blinding the target. Cost 1 Flux, Duration CONC in minutes.
Rank 2. Shadow 1
The Caster can move the edges of shadows, altering the outlines slightly. Cost 2 Flux, Duration constant until the shadow is released.
Rank 3. Shadow 2
The Caster can move most of the shadow, altering the general shape of the shadow. Cost 3 Flux, Duration constant until the shadow is released.
Rank 4. Shadow 3
The Caster has total control of the shadow and can twist it to any shape desired. Cost 4 Flux, Duration constant until the shadow is released.
Rank 5. Form 1
The Caster can turn the shadow into a thick and sticky substance, much like semi-dried glue. Cost 5 Flux, Duration CONC in minutes.
Rank 6. Shadow 4
The Caster can now detach the shadow from the object it comes from and move it about. Cost 5 Flux, Duration constant until the shadow is released.
Rank 7. Shadow 5
The Caster can now actually form shadows from nowhere. Cost 5 Flux, Duration constant until the shadow is released.
Rank 8. Shadow 6
The Caster can now remove shadows, and stop shadows from forming. Cost 5 Flux, Duration permanent, though a new shadow will form when concentration is released.
Rank 9. Form 2
The Caster can now, temporarily, turn a shadow into an actual, shadow object of no complexity. Cost 6 Flux, Duration CONC in minutes.
Rank 10. Shade 1
The Caster can now, just slightly, fade from view when in a shadow, this incurs a –2 to all rolls when someone tries to see the Caster without aids. Cost 7 Flux, Duration CONC in minutes.
Rank 11. Darkness
The Caster’s skin and eyes darken, the skin gaining a very ‘grimy’ tone to it whilst the eyes seem to become open pits of darkness. Costs no flux and is either permanent, or lasts as long as willed.
Rank 12. Bind 1
The Caster can now ‘throw’ small patches of shadows that will stick to the target. Cost 8 Flux, Duration CONC in minutes.
Rank 13. Understanding
The Caster gains a deeper understanding in the ebb and how it works with the shadows. All abilities now last twice as long.
Rank 14. Form 3
The Caster can now turn shadows into fairly complex objects, which continue to look like shadows. Cost 8 Flux, Duration CONC in minutes.
Rank 15. Shade 2
The Caster can now fade at will from sight whilst standing in a shadow. Attempts to see the Caster without aid is at –6. Cost 9 Flux, Duration CONC in minutes.
Rank 16. True Sight
The Caster can now see no matter how dark it is, or where shadows are.
Rank 17. Bind 2
the Caster can now physically bind his targets using shadows. Cost 9 Flux, Duration CONC in minutes.
Rank 18. Form 4
The Caster can now form any object he wishes, as long as he understands how it works. Cost 10 Flux, Duration CONC in minutes.
Rank 19. Chameleon
A strange ability. The Caster is able to twist the shadows, and to a degree the light, so that he actually disappears from sight. Cost 10 Flux, Duration CONC in minutes.
Rank 20. Taneabraportation
This rank actually crosses over with the Path of Travel, as the Caster is able to move from one location to another with the aid of shadows. This rank is only available to casters who also have the Path of Travel. Cost 20 Flux.
